Outgoing Exchange Students: How to get started
Deadlines for applications:
for autumn semester: before 1 May
for spring semester: before 1 Oct.
You can find all the information needed on Brock Online (intranet for students)
1. Check all our partners and their websites and decide which institution you wish to apply for (3 priorities).
2. Fill in the APPLICATION FORM electronically and forward it to hmn@brock.dk
3. In order to be accepted to go abroad, you will be asked to attend a meeting with Business Unit and the International Office. You must have passed all your exams, be motivated and have some knowledge (other than English) of the language of the host country - if you wish to study in a French-, Spanish-, Portuguese- or German speaking country.
4. When accepted, you will get contact details of the host institution so that you can ask questions on accommodation, subjects to study etc.
5. When accepted you must sign a CONTRACT where you confirm that you are going to study abroad and that you will receive a grant from the programme in question.
6. At least one month before you leave you must fill in and sign a LEARNING AGREEMENT with the subjects you wish to study. The learning agreement must be accepted and signed by Business Unit and the International Office. The credit points must match what we require in Denmark (normally 30 ECTS for a semester).
7. Within a month after you have returned from your study abroad period you must fill in a STUDENT REPORT and send it to: hmn@brock.dk . If you fail to do so, you risk having to pay back your grant.
8. Students applying for institutions outside Europe must apply for STUDENT VISAS. Please be aware that this may be a time consuming process.
Feel free to contact the International Office with any questions you may have.
