Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions concerning the BA programme offered in Copenhagen by De Montfort University and Niels Brock.
When is the start of the next course?
The next course begins in September 2010. An introduction programme is scheduled for Sept. 13, 14., 20., 21. and the first lectures will be held Sept. 27.
What is the admission procedure?
Application form and further documents should be handed in by one of the following deadlines: March 15, May 15, July 1, or Aug. 15 at the very latest. It is our policy to interview applicants before enrolment. As interest is high, early booking is recommended.
How much does it cost?
The tuition fee for 2010-2011 is: DKK 75,000/ EURO 10,000
International students will have the possibility of applying for scholarships to reduce their second semester fee. See scholarship page
To qualify for scholarships, students must hold excellent academic records and demonstrate strong supportive skills.
When are lessons held?
Most lectures and workshops are held Mondays to Thursdays 17.00 - 20.30 (Evening course). Day class courses may also be offered. Written assignments are provided in the form of essays, electronic tutorials and tests.
Who are the teachers?
Teachers are English-speaking Niels Brock professional Higher Education lecturers and instructors from Danish and international business and industry, all approved by De Montfort University.
How is the instruction organised?
Instruction is based on a combination of lectures, workshops and cases reflecting academic models and international business practice.
Is attendance obligatory?
Attendance is not obligatory but highly recommended. In case of absence contact is maintained via study groups and electronic classroom facilities.
How many exams are held?
Student performance is assessed on a combination of module coursework and end-of-module exams. Most exams consist of a 2 or 3 hour closed-book written test.
Where and when is graduation?
August 2011 in Copenhagen. A formal British university ceremony will be held in the presence of representatives of De Montfort University and guests from international business and industry.
What further opportunities does the BA degree offer?
The course provides key qualifications for finance/marketing and managerial posts in international business as well as a range of international Master degree programmes.
