Admission requirements

The admission criteria are as follows:

Applicants with an educational background from Denmark and Scandinavia

  • A general upper secondary education in Denmark/Scandinavia (Upper Secondary School Leaving Examination, Higher Commercial Examination, Higher Technical Examination or Higher Preparatory Examination).
  • A Danish vocational education supplemented with English level B and with Mathematics level B or Business Economics level B

United States and countries with a similar educational system:

  • High school diplomas from the United States followed by at least one year of university or college studies in relevant subjects. This also applies to applicants with a high school diploma from countries with a similar system.

UK countries and countries with a similar educational system:

  • GCE Advanced Level-exams (A-level) in combination with GCSE-eksaminer (O-level). At least three A levels in relevant subjects in combination with O- level exams.

African countries, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Philippines and countries with similar educational system:

  • At least 2 years of study in relevant subjects from universities. We recommend a bachelor degree.

The international and the European Baccalaureate.

Other appropriate education found to be acceptable at the discretion of Niels Brock.

In order to be admitted to the programme students must have good and well-documented qualifications in English and Mathematics/Economics:

English

International students must have taken an internationally approved English test.
a) TOEFL paper-based test score of 550+ or TOEFL computer-based test score of 213+
b) IELTS academic score of 6.0+
c) a total APIEL score of 3+.
d) Danish students must have at least level B.

Mathematics/Economics
a) Danish students must have at least level B.
b) International students must hold a certificate proving adequate qualifications: Please enclose documentation of:

1) number of hours of English and
2) number of hours of Mathematics/Economics 

How?....We need to see signed documents from your school telling how many hours all in all you have had/will have in Mathematics/Economics and English within the last three year of your education – typically 10th 11th and 12th grade.

Deadlines

August start
For Nordic/EU/EUA students starting in August the deadline is 5 July.
For non-EU students starting in August the deadline is 15 March - see enrolment procedure.

January start
For Nordic/EU/EUA students starting in January the deadline is 1 December.
For non-EU students starting in January the deadline is 1 October - see enrolment procedure.

For Danish students only:

Bonus scheme for early commencement of study
You can benefit from a  special rule if you have completed an upper secondary qualifying education up to two years before the year you apply. For further information on the bonus scheme please check www.optagelse.dk

Please note
We do not consider applications with an average grade lower than 3,7 on the Danish grading scale, but it should be noted that the lowest grade that actually qualifies for entry may be considerable higher.
