Structure of the programme

The AP degree in Financial Management consists of a compulsory part and an elective part. The compulsory part constitutes 90 ECTS and the elective part 30 ECTS, in all 120 ECTS.

Thematic structure

The teaching and learning approaches are based on themes. This means that all subjects cooperate on joint inter-disciplinary semester themes in order to link the individual subject elements and create a more holistic view.

1st semester: Introduction to finance and methodology
- Fundamental subjects
- The financial sector and financial products

2nd semester: The financial sector and society
- Financial counselling of personal customers

3rd semester: Financial counselling of business/corporate customers
- Financial enterprises

with the following mandatory subjects:

Financial Enterprises and Markets
Personal Economics
Customer/client Relations
Business Economics
Management and Communications
Global Economics
Business Law
Statistics

4th semester: Specialisation and final exam project

The specialisation period (18 ECTS = approx. 3 months) may consist of one of the following:
a) a work placement in a company in Denmark or abroad
b) theoretical studies at an institution of higher education in Denmark or abroad

The final exam project (= 12 ECTS) should demonstrate the ability to work independently and methodologically with a complex problem within the area of finance and is usually done in cooperation with a company in Denmark or abroad.
